Poetry is an operating theatre.

We perform surgery with our words. The nuance to them, the texture, the gentleness or roughness.

I see art as a medical experiment. There is nothing more honest to the uncertainty of experience than the recording of multiple perspectives— in paint, in words, in character development.

My art isn't perfect, but I hope that it is honest.
